Huawei to Provide for Vodafone Spain's HSPA Network Expansion

Following the successful deployment of their first contract signed in August 2006, Chinese communications network equipment provider Huawei announced on June 23 that it will provide for Vodafone Spain's 3G HSPA (High-Speed Packet Access) network expansion project in the country. Pursuant to the new contract, Huawei will help expand Vodafone's HSPA network coverage to include seven major cities in Spain, such as Barcelona and Madrid. Further details of the deal were not disclosed.
